Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Statlas mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

The Service

Statlas is a travel-tracking application that automatically logs the countries, regions, cities, airports, ports, and landmarks you visit, and provides related features such as achievements, statistics, trip planning, and social comparison. All features are currently provided free of charge.

Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from within the App. Deletion permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, other users' accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on the App or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law.
• Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Post, upload, or transmit objectionable content, including content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, pornographic or sexually explicit, that depicts or incites violence, or that targets any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
• Harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, or impersonate any person, or use another person's identity, likeness, or photographs without their permission.
• Use the App's social, sharing, or referral features to send spam or to distribute scams, fraudulent offers, or malware.

Location Data

Statlas relies on location data to provide its core functionality. You control location permissions through your device settings and the App's tracking modes, and you can disable tracking at any time. See our Privacy Policy for how location data is collected, used, and deleted.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you create in the App (such as trips, photos, and notes). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and provide the App to you.

Objectionable Content and Community Standards

Statlas has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. This applies to everything another user can see, including display names, usernames, profile photos, trip names and notes, uploaded trip cover images, and anything reachable through a public share link.

Reporting. Every public profile and shared item in the App carries a Report action. Reports are sent to us with the reason you select, and are reviewed by our team. The person you report is not told who reported them.

Blocking. You can block any user from their profile. A blocked user can no longer see your profile or send you requests.

What we do about it. We review reported content and act on it, which may include removing the content, restricting a feature, or suspending or terminating the account responsible. We may remove content or suspend an account without prior notice where we judge the content or conduct to be seriously harmful, and we may do so at our sole discretion. Accounts terminated for abuse may not be recreated.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, software, and content we provide, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.

Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that automatically detected visits and statistics will be accurate.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms — including the Acceptable Use and Objectionable Content sections above — or if we discontinue the service.
