Delete your Statlas account
You can delete your Statlas account from inside the app, at any time, without asking us.
From inside the app
Open Statlas and go to Settings → Delete Account. You’ll be asked to confirm. This is the primary route and it is the fastest.
Export first if you want a copy. Deletion is not reversible, and we cannot restore an account afterwards. Statlas can produce an export of your travel data from inside the app — do that before you delete if you want to keep anything.
If you’ve already removed the app
Reinstall Statlas, sign back in with the same Apple or Google account, and use Settings → Delete Account.
If you can’t sign in — the account is gone from your device, or the sign-in no longer works — email [email protected] from the address on the account, with “Account deletion request” in the subject. We’ll verify you own it and delete it for you. We answer within two business days.
What deletion does
Deleting your account removes you from Statlas as a person: your name, email address, username, profile photo and the link to the Apple or Google account you signed in with are all erased, and the account can no longer be signed into.
Your profile record itself is retained in an anonymised form, with the personal details stripped out. It is kept so that aggregate figures the app shows other people — how rare an achievement is, where a score sits against everyone else — don’t silently shift when someone leaves. There is nothing in that record that identifies you.
What we keep, and why
Some records are not removed by deletion:
- Moderation records. If content was reported, the report and what we did about it are kept, so that a deletion can’t be used to erase a moderation history.
- Anonymised aggregates. Counts that feed rarity and ranking, as described above, with no personal details attached.
- Records we’re required to keep. Anything we have a legal obligation to retain.
If you want to know exactly what is held against your account before you delete it, or you want something removed that deletion doesn’t cover, email [email protected] and ask. We’d rather answer the specific question than have you guess from a generic list.
Deleting the app is not deleting the account
Removing Statlas from your iPhone stops it collecting anything new from that device, but it does not delete your account or the travel history synced to it. Use Settings → Delete Account, or email us, to do that.
Questions about any of this go to [email protected]. What we collect while you’re using Statlas is set out in the privacy policy.
